Jammu Katra Dalhousie Dharamshala Amritsar

Day 1: Arrive Jammu to Katra

Arrive at Jammu Airport / Rly Stn, transfer to Katra, check in the Hotel, and Overnight at Katra Hotel.

Day 2: Vaishno Devi Temple Katra

After Breakfast start trekking 13 KM for Mata Vaishnodevi Darshan, you can hire a horse or Palki also from the shrine board. Enjoy getting together with your travel companions. "Jai Mata Di". Evening trek 13 Km back to Katra. Overnight at Katra Hotel.

Day 3: Dalhousie

After breakfast check out from the hotel and leave for Dalhousie. Arrive and check in at Hotel. Day at leisure to pamper yourself in the small town famous for its scenic beauty. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 4: Dalhousie - Khajjiar

After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing. Flow through a mesmerizing experience. The vast emerald green meadow of Khajjiar with its thick forested slopes of deodars, and the stupendous mountain views from Lakkar Mandi. Return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Dalhousie - Dharamshala

Check out and drive to Mcleodganj (Dharamshala), magnificently set to the background of the Dhauldhar mountains and the seat of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening visit Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple, and Tibetan Monastery. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Dharamshala - Amritsar Wagah Border

Early morning after breakfast, proceed for Amritsar (210 Kms/4-5 Hours) which is spiritual centre of Sikhism and home to Shri Harminder Sahib (Golden Temple). Check-in at the Hotel, After some refreshments. Drive to the India-Pakistan Wagah border and watch the famous retreat ceremony which is performed at this place every evening before sunset. Overnight stay at Amritsar.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, visit famous Golden Temple which has a unique Sikh architecture. It is built at a level lower than the surrounding land level and has four gates. Thereafter, visit Jallian Wala Bagh which is adjacent to Golden Temple. Jallian Wala Bagh houses a memorial of national importance, established in 1951 to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrators on the occasion of the Punjabi New Year on April 13, 1919. Also, visit Durgiana Temple, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum and Sadda Pind where you can experience the old world charm of Punjab through cultural performances, folk dances, local handicrafts, songs, stories and cuisine. Later, drop at Amritsar Railway Station/Airport for your onward journey with sweet memories of the tour.
